Matt Fairbank is the Principal Consultant with Sageland Mediation. He has been a mediator since 1992 and served as the Executive Director of the Dispute Resolution Center of Yakima and Kittitas Counties from 1998 to 2017. He is a certified mediator through the Washington Mediation Association and the Dispute Resolution Center of Yakima and Kittitas Counties.
Over the last 19 years, Matt has mediated thousands of cases in a wide variety of areas. Prior to that, he also directed elder care agencies and worked with elders for more than a decade.
Matt graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and from the University of Colorado with a Masters in Sociology, with a focus on Social Conflict.
Giving Back to the Community
Matt serves as a volunteer mediator with the Dispute Resolution Center of Yakima and Kittitas Counties. He is a board member of Cowiche Canyon Conservancy, Foundation of Mercy and Yakima Symphony Orchestra.
